Globally renowned design firm IDEO and Berklee College Of Music facilitated a Summer Lab for the Open Music Initiative. We were asked to design a system which compensates musicians for visual works using their songs as data.
How can artists be compensated for content that is influenced by their original works?
By engaging listeners and offering them a deeper connection to the music they love, we can create a platform that uses community curation to set the record of fragmented attribution straight.
User Interface Design
Visual Identity Design
Songs, videos, and artwork are all featured on the same screen. A place where users post a diverse range of content associated with the artist. This could be official releases, fan made videos or anything in between.
Collections bring context back to the music. Fans can curate specific playlists of multimedia content to show friends and family their favorite artists how they see them.
An artist’s following, culture and influence tell a myriad of stories. Those stories unfold on DeepDive through the eyes of fans who know them best.
Dedicated content contributors are recognized for their contributions and collections. True fans earn a higher status within the DeepDive community.

Artists benefit from fractured content being collected from across the web and attributed back to them in one central location
Users get public recognition for being a super-fan and contributing authentic and compelling content.
